(PART) FORTON PARISH
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2025 

On 21/10/25 Staffordshire County Council confirmed the above order and on 21/4/26 they certified the above order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 53A(2) of the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981.

The effect of the order as confirmed and certified is to divert the full length and width of Public Footpath No 31 Forton commencing at Grid Reference 376496 322102 and running east-south-easterly for some 37 metres to Grid Reference 376530 322092 to a line commencing at Grid Reference 376502 322103 and running east-south-easterly for some 31 metres to Grid Reference 376530 322092 as shown on the Order map. It will also modify the Borough of Stafford Definitive map and statement accordingly.

A copy of the Order as confirmed and certified and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at the offices of Staffordshire County Council, Corporate Reception, 1 Staffordshire Place, Stafford, ST16 2LP Mon-Fri. 8.30 am to 5.00 pm. Copies of the Orders and maps may be bought there at the price of 10p per A4 page; £2 per map. 

The order comes into force as from the date it is certified, but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question the validity, or that any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 as amended or Wildlife and Countryside Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirements of the Acts, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Acts, has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of schedule 2 of the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of schedule 6 of the Act, within six weeks from 5/8/26, make application to the High Court.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council on 4/8/26 made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:

Church Eaton Rd, Bromstead. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB150774116. The Order will come into operation on 10/8/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 29/11/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the water main renewal works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Back Ln, Croxton. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB150693242. The Order will come into operation on 12/8/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed on the same day. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the BT pole replacement works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Weston Ln, Bowers. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB150686730. The Order will come into operation on 11/8/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed the same day. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the telecom pole works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

High Lanes, Sugnall. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB150686326. The Order will come into operation on 11/8/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed on the same day. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the pole renewal works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Radmore Ln, Swan Pit. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB150681042. The Order will come into operation on 10/8/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed the same day. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the telecom pole works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier

Chase Ln, Tittensor. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB150608275. The Order will come into operation on 12/8/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed the same day. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the telecom pole works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Church Eaton Rd, High Onn. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB150485361. The Order will come into operation on 12/8/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed on the same day. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the defective manhole frame and cover works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along:

New Inn Bank, Bishops Offley. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB150765664. The Order will come into operation on 24/8/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 28/8/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the new electrical and pole replacement works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
