TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made temporary traffic regulations, with the effect detailed below, to control traffic.
WHAT: The following will be closed to all vehicles with no parking, no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time. Any vehicle left obstructing the works risk receiving a Penalty Charge Notice and being removed.
WHERE & WHEN:
Bournemouth
- Seamoor Road from its junction with Alumhurst Road to its junction with County Gates Gyratory Anticipated dates: 16/09/2026 from 20:00 until 06:00 17/09/2026
- Poole Road from its junction with Landseer Road to its junction with Milburn Road Anticipated dates: 16/09/2026 from 20:00 until 06:00 17/09/2026
- Poole Road from its junction with Milburn Road to the property boundary of Nos. 17/19 Anticipated dates: 21/09/2026 until 29/09/2026
- Grosvenor Road from its junction with Poole Road to the property boundary of Nos. 1/3 Anticipated date: 30/09/2026 from 06:00 until 18:00
- Pine Tree Glen from its junction with Poole Road to the property boundary of Nos. 2/3 Anticipated date: 01/10/2026 from 06:00 until 18:00
Christchurch
- Bure Lane from its junction with Lymington Road to its junction with The Runway Anticipated date: 25/08/2026 from 08:00 until 18:00
- Bure Lane from its junction with The Runway to its junction with Friars Road Anticipated date: 26/08/2026 from 08:00 until 18:00
- The Runway from its junction with Highcliffe Road to its junction with Bure Lane Anticipated dates: 27/08/2026 from 19:00 until 06:00 28/08/2026
Poole
- Sylvan Road from its junction with Cranbrook Road to its junction with Uppleby Road Anticipated dates: 18/08/2026 from 06:00 until 18:00 19/08/2026
- Cynthia Road from its junction with Ringwood Road to its junction with Brixey Road Anticipated dates: 20/08/2026 from 06:00 until 18:00 21/08/2026
WHY: This is to facilitate highway maintenance works by BCP Council.
ACCESS: All emergency services access will be maintained, unless to properties will remain depending on site safety.
DIVERSION: Via signed routes

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
The Council regrets any inconvenience to the public caused by this traffic order.
