What is happening?

Notice is given that the order made by Bath and North East Somerset Council on 16th July 2026 will be continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of her powers under section 15(5) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984. The order will continue in force until the works to which it
relates have been completed or until 19 October 2026, whichever is the earlier.
The effect of which will be to continue to close the section of Public Byway BA10/40 commencing from a junction with Dunkerton Hill (A367) at ST71555929and
proceeding in a generally SSW direction for approx 411m to a junction with Public
Footpath BA10/17(fp) and Public Byway BA10/17(bd) at ST71375893.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the right of way: namely the applicant will be carrying out surface improvement
works.
