HYSBYSIR drwy hyn fod Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Caerffili, wrth weithredu ei bwerau o dan Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel yi diwygiwyd), yn bwriadu mewn nid Ilai na saith diwrnod o ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn wneud Gorchymyn, a fydd air effaith o osod y cyfyngiadau dros dro canlynol:
Ni chaiff unrhyw gerbydau sy'n pwyso'n fwy na 7.5 tunnel! fynd ar hyd Penallta Road dros bont Ilwybr beicio Ystrad Mynach i Gwm Calon rhwng rhif 84 a rhif 87 Penallta Road.
Disgwylir i'r Gorchymyn arfaethedig gychwyn ar 13 Awst 2026 am gyfnod nid yn fwy na deunaw mis neu nes body gwaith wedi ei gwblhau, p'un bynnag sydd gynharaf.
Y rheswm dros wneud y Gorchymyn yw diogelu'r strwythur a sicrhau diogelwch defnyddwyr y ffyrdd a'r Ilwybr beicio yn dilyn asesiad strwythurol o bont y rheilffordd a galluogi gwneud gwaith atgyweirio angenrheidiol. Mae angen y gorchymyn ar Gyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Caerffili.

PENALLTA ROAD, YSTRAD MYNACH
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF WEIGHT LIMIT ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that Caerphilly County Borough Council in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intends in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, the effect of which will impose the following temporary restrictions No vehicles exceeding a weight limit of 7.5 tonnes shall proceed along Penallta Road over the Ystrad Mynach to Cwm Calon cycle track bridge between no. 84 and no. 87 Penallta Road.
The proposed Order is expected to commence on 13 August 2026 for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
The reason for making the Order is to protect the structure and ensure the safety of both road and cycle track users following a structural assessment of the railway bridge and to enable necessary repair works to be undertaken.
The order is required by Caerphilly County Borough Council. Further information can be obtained via trafficman@caerphilly.gov.uk or on 01443 815588 during normal office hours.
