BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE
(FEEL GOOD FESTIVAL 2026, ROCHDALE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES, TEMPORARY NO WAITING AT ANY TIME, TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF PARKING, TAXI RANK AND DISABLED PARKING) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;
Schedule 1 – Prohibition of Traffic, Waiting and Loading
Temporarily Prohibit of all Traffic from proceeding, waiting any time and loading at any time along:
i. Fleece Street from its junction with King St to its junction with Packer Street
ii. The Esplanade from its junction with Newgate to its junction with Vicars Gate
iii. Packer Street for its entire length iv. Town Hall Square for its entire length
Schedule 2 – Prohibition of Vehicles, Waiting and Loading
Temporarily Prohibit vehicles from proceeding waiting any time and
loading at any time along:
i. Newgate for its entire length
ii. South Parade for its entire length
iii. The Esplanade from its junction with Manchester Road to its junction with Vicars Gate
iv. Fleece Street between King Street and Church Street
v. Nelson Street from its junction with Packer Street to its junction with Church Street
The Order is required to facilitate the safe holding of the Feel Good Festival 2026.
The order will be operative from 00:01 on the 7th August 2026 until 23:59 on the 9th August 2026.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on street when closures are in place.
It is envisaged that the restrictions in Schedule 2 of this order will only be implemented as and when required 16:30 - 23:59 from to when on the Friday until when on the Saturday. Unless it’s deemed necessary to ensure public safety.
(BERTHA ROAD, ROCHDALE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Bertha Road from its junction with .Milnrow Road for a distance of 50 metres in a southerly direction.
(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Bertha Road from its junction with Milnrow Road for a distance of 50 metres in a southerly direction.
The Order is required to facilitate a new Water Connection within the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 00:00 on the 24th August 2026 until 23:59 on the 26th August 2026.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Milnrow Road, Rosefield Crescent, Bertha Road, & vice versa.
(OLDHAM ROAD, ROCHDALE)
(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF LIMITED WAITING
PARKING BAY & PROHIBITION OF NO WAITING AT ANY TIME) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily;
(i) Suspend (part of) the Borough of Rochdale ((Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Rochdale Township) Order 2008
Schedule No.3.1
Parking Bay Mon-Satn 8am-6pm 30 mins. No return within 30 mins Side of the road: East, from a point 25 metres north of its junction with Argyll Street for a distance of 17 metres in a northerly direction. And,
i Prohibit vehicles from waiting from a point 25 metres north of its junction with Argyll Street for a distance of 35 metres in a northerly direction.
The Order is required to facilitate new water manhole cover within the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 08:00 on the 26th August 2026 until 18:00 on the 6th September 2026.
The route for vehicles will be not be affected.
(SMITHY BRIDGE ROAD, LITTLEBOROUGH (6))
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Smithy Bridge Road from a point 15 metres north west of the level crossing for a distance of 40 metres in a south easterly direction.
The Order is required to facilitate safe annual testing of the Railway Level Crossing.
The Order will be operative from 00:10 on the 23rd August 2026 until 05:30 on the 23rd August 2026.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Smithy Bridge Road, Milnrow Road (Littleborough), Wildhouse Lane, Kiln Lane, Bridge Street, Rochdale Road, Milnrow Road (Rochdale), Albert Royds Street, Halifax Road (A58), Smithy Bridge Road & vice versa.
(MILAAD PROCESSION 2026, ROCHDALE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along; i) Derby Street for its entire length
ii) Milkstone Road from its junction with Derby Street to its junction with Deelpish Road
iii) Deeplish Road for its entire length
iv) Ashfield Road from its junction with Deeplish Road to Boundary Street v) Boundary Street from its junction with Ashfield Road to King Street East
vi) King Street East from its junction with Boundary Street to Mere St
vii) Mere Street from its junction with King Street East to Drake Street
viii) Tweedale Street at its junction with Mere Street
ix) Drake Street from its junction with Mere Street to Park Street
x) Park Street for its entire length
xi) St Alban’s Street at its junction with Park Street
xii) Sparrow Hill from its junction with Vicar’s Drive to Church Stile
xiii) Church Stile from its junction with Sparrow Hill to Church Lane
xiv) Church Lane for its entire lenght
xv) Fleece Street for its entire length
The Order is required to facilitate the safe holding of the Milaad Procession The Order will be operative from 14:00 to 17:00 on a single day between 24th August 2026, 25th August 2026 or 26th August 2026.
The closure of the above streets will be in the form of a rolling road closure. Due to the nature and duration of the event it is not necessary for alternative routes to be in place.
