What is happening?
THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(BROAD LANE, THE BOROUGH OF HINCKLEY & BOSWORTH) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2022 (BROAD LANE, MARKFIELD) (AMENDMENT 28) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council has made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-
To impose a No Waiting at Any Time restriction on part of Broad Lane, Markfield.
To impose mandatory School Keep-Clear markings on part of Broad Lane Markfield
The Order will come into force on the tenth day of August 2026.
A copy of the Order and the relevant map is available for public inspection at County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester LE3 8RA.
The Order can also be viewed online at https://www.leicestershire.gov.uk/ roads-and-travel/cars-and-parking/traffic-management-consultations from 5th August 2026
If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from the date of this Notice, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
