(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (a) intends to make an Order on the A36 trunk road in the County of Wiltshire to allow vegetation clearance and associated maintenance works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to take place over one day (09.30 to 15.30) on or after 24 August 2026.
The effect of the Order would be to authorise the closure of the A36 southbound layby 520 metres south of Clarendon Road overbridge.
The closure (which would not apply to emergency service, traffic officer or works vehicles) would be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the works.
The Order would come into force on 22 August 2026 and have a maximum duration of 18 months.
