SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC HOLME ROAD
ROUNDABOUT, MARKET WEIGHTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Holme
Road Roundabout, Market Weighton commencing
31 August 2026 until 14 October 2026 between
19.00 hours until 00.00 hours, Monday to Friday for
the purposes of resurfacing and re-kerbing works.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months,
but it is anticipated that the works will be completed
by 14 October 2026. The alternative route for traffic
affected by the road closure will be via A1079 Giant
Bradley Way, A1079 Sancton Road Roundabout, A1079
Arras Hill, A1079 York Road, A1079 Beverley Road,
A1079/A1035 Killingwoldgraves Roundabout, A1035
Dog Kennel Lane, A1035 Dog Kennel Lane Roundabout,
B1248 Malton Road, B1248 Etton Dikes, B1248 Moor
Hill, B1248 road from Heater Corner to Cow Bridge,
B1248 road from Heater Corner to Middleton Road,
B1248 Lund Road, B1248 Station Road, A614 Middleton
Road, A614 Main Road from Middleton to Bainton,
A614 Church Hill Road, A614 Front Street, A614
Market Weighton Road, A614 Kiplingcotes Road,
A614 Londesborough Roundabout, A614 Towthorpe
Lane, A614/A1079 Shiptonthorpe Roundabout and
A1079 York Road, Londesborough CP, Middleton CP,
Lockington CP, Etton CP, Market Weighton CP, Bishop
Burton CP, Lund CP, Molescroft CP, Bainton CP,
Cherry Burton CP, Dalton Holme CP, Shiptonthorpe CP,
St Mary’s Ward, Driffield and Rural Ward,
Beverley Rural Ward, Wolds Weighton Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic
but access will be maintained for emergency vehicles
and access for residents only on the Oak Road
Development and pedestrians. Further information can
