(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A4147 LEVERSTOCK GREEN ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A4147 Leverstock Green Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Greenacres north westwards for a distance of approximately 150m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via A4147 (Leverstock Green Road/Hemel Hempstead Road/Bluehouse Hill), A5183 (Redbourn Road/Folly Lane), A4147 (Folly Lane/Catherine Street), A1081 (St Peters Street/Chequer Street), A5183 (Holywell Hill/St Stephens Hill/Watling Street), A405 (North Orbital Road/St Albans Road/North Orbital Road), A41 (North Western Avenue/Hempstead Road/Watford Road/unnamed road/Two Waters Way), A414 (Two Waters Way/Two Waters Road/St Albans Road) and A4147 (Leverstock Green Way/ Leverstock Green Road).
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 24 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VARIOUS ROADS IN BERKHAMSTED, KINGS LANGLEY AND FLAMSTEAD) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-
1. that length of Chesham Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with A4251 High Street south westwards to its junction with Hilltop Road, a distance of approximately 548 m.
An alternative route will be via A4251 High Street, Three Close Lane, Beech Drive and Hilltop Road.
2. that length of Coniston Road, Kings Langley from its junction with A4251 Hempstead Road south westwards, north westwards, south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Barnes Lane, a distance of approximately 715m.
An alternative route will be via A4251 Hempstead Road and Common Lane.
3. that length of Singlets Lane/High Street, Flamstead from its junction with Chequers Lane north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Chapel Road, a distance of approximately 529m.
An alternative route will be via Chequers Hill, A5183 London Road, Hollybush Lane and Chapel Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 25 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A5183 LONDON ROAD, FLAMSTEAD) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A5183 London Road, Flamstead from its junction with the A5 London Road/M1 (junction 9) roundabout north westwards for a distance of approximately 232m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via A5 (unnamed road), A5183 (Dunstable Road/Redbourn Bypass/St Albans Road/Redbourn Road/Folly Lane), A4147 (Folly Lane/Catherine Street), A1081 (St Peters Street/Harpenden Road/St Albans Road/High Street/ Luton Road/London Road/New Airport Way), A505 Kimpton Road, Windmill Road, A505 (Chapel Viaduct/Stuart Street/
Dunstable Road), A5065 (Hatters Way/Skimpot Road), A505 Luton Road/Church Street), Station Road, Great Northern Road and A5183 (High Street South/London Road/Watling Street/ Dunstable Road/London Road).
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order will come into effect from 24 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SHENLEY ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER NO.2 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Shenley Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Epping Green south eastwards to its junction with Botley Road, a distance of approximately 170m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Shenley Road, B487 Redbourn Road and Shenley Road.
The Order is needed because duct laying works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 24 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE STREET, CHIPPERFIELD) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Street, Chipperfield from a point 148m north west of its junction with Kings Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 115m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via The Street, Kings Lane, Chapel Croft and The Street.
The Order is needed because utility connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order will come into effect from 10 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 13 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF TROWLEY BOTTOM, FLAMSTEAD) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Trowley Bottom, Flamstead from its junction with White Hill north westwards for a distance of approximately 56m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via White Hill, Trowley Hill Road and Trowley Bottom.
The Order is needed because the replacement of a defective valve is proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order will come into effect from 10 August 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
