NOTICE OF MAKING OF AN ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE COUNCIL PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION (PUBLIC FOOTPATH 185, MESSINGHAM) ORDER 2026(1)
The above order, made on 22 July 2026, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, will divert the public footpath in Messingham running from a point situated south of Woodlands at SE86740562 thence generally north west via arable enclosures situated south, west and north west of Trippling Hows to a point atop the south bank of Bottesford Beck, to a line from a point situated south of Woodlands at SE86740562 running first generally northwards via the east of Trippling Hows and the west of a poultry farm to the south bank of Bottesford Beck at SE86710593 thence westwards along said bank top to SE86320591 as shown on the order map, and if confirmed the definitive map and statement will be modified in consequence.
A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and may be seen and obtained free of charge at Church Square House, 30-40 High Street, Scunthorpe, DN15 6NL from 9am to 4.30pm on weekdays, other than public holidays, or viewed online at www.northlincs.gov.uk (search on Public Rights of Way Current Public Notices).
Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to the Principal Access and Commons Officer at Highways Asset Team, North Lincolnshire Council, Church Square House, 30-40 High Street, Scunthorpe, DN15 6NL or via prow@northlincs.gov.uk not later than 4 September 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, North Lincolnshire Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation, any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
