The Isle of Wight Council (Castle Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2026

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours on Friday 14 August 2026 until 1600 hours on Friday 10 September 2026, or when the works has been completed, Castle Street, Ryde will be closed for its entire length. Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 7 August 2026 and Friday 18 September 2026 the following roads / path will be closed at all times for a period of approximately 1 to 15 days within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway surfacing, maintenance, lining and investigation works, and any associated pre works, to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following footpaths: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs. These works may include reconstruction, resurfacing works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of the paths / roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advance warning signs before the scheme commences. The Isle of Wight Council (Well Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 3 2026 – Well Street will be closed for its entire length.

The Isle of Wight Council (Military Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary 30mph Speed Restriction) Order No 1 2026

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours on Saturday 01 August 2026 until 2200 hours on Sunday 02 August 2026, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner. A 30mph speed restriction will be introduced along Military Road from a point of 125 metres west of its junction with Church Place for a distance of 575 metres in a westerly direction. The restriction is required in association with the Chale Show.
