NOTICE OF MAKING

THE BOROUGH OF WATFORD (WATFORD) (CONTROLLED PARKING ZONES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2023 (AMENDMENT) (NO.7) ORDER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Watford Borough Council, acting as agents for Hertfordshire County Council has made the above-mentioned Order pursuant to arrangements made under Section 19 of the Local Government Act 2000 and the Local Government (Arrangements for Discharge of Functions) (England) Regulations 2000 with the Hertfordshire County Council, and in exercise of the powers conferred on that County under sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and Part 6 of The Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers.

The order will come into operation on Friday 31st July 2026.

The general effect of the Order will be to amend waiting restrictions as follows:

1. The effect of the Order will be to provide No Waiting At Any Time waiting restrictions as follows:

• At the junction of Garfield Street and Milton Street implement 5 metres of no waiting at any time restrictions on the western side

• On Cassiobury Drive, northwest of the junction with Stratford Way to amend the existing parking bay length and extend the existing no waiting at any time restrictions by 4 metres

• On Addiscombe Road: across the access into Kenneth Court car park with no waiting at any time restrictions

2. The effect of the order is to provide two short stay pay and display parking bays to operate Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6.30pm, maximum stay 1 hour, no return within 2 hours restriction at the following location:

• On northeast side of Cross Street adjacent to Sutton Road

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders, or of any of the provisions contained in them, on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may within 6 weeks of the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for this purpose.
