(CHESTER ROAD, WOODFORD) (RESTRICTION OF WAITING) (REVOCATION) NOTICE 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 the effect of which will be to introduce No Waiting Monday to Friday 8.00am to 9.30am and 2.30pm to 4pm at Chester Road, Woodford (South East Side) from a point 32 metres north east of the intersection of the eastern kerb line of Lancastrian Way for a distance of 259 metres in a north easterly direction.
Chester Road, Woodford (North West Side) from the intersection of the south western kerb line of Woodford Road for a distance of 256 metres in a south westerly direction. Woodford Road, Woodford (South West Side) from the intersection of the north western kerb line of Chester Road for a distance of 10 metres in a north westerly direction. No Waiting Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm at Chester Road, Woodford (South Side) from a point 69 metres north east of the intersection of the eastern kerb line of Verdon Roe Avenue to a point 171 metres west of the intersection of the western kerb line of Verdon Roe Avenue.
Chester Road, Woodford (North Side) from a point 32 metres north east of the projected eastern kerb line of Verdon Roe Avenue for a distance of 317 metres in a south westerly direction.
The following will be revoked from The Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2010: No Waiting Monday - Friday 3.45pm to 6.45pm: Chester Road, Woodford (South East Side) from a point 5 metres south west of the projected eastern building line of property no. 403 for a distance of 259 metres in a south westerly direction.
Chester Road, Woodford (South Side) from a point 69 metres north east of the intersection of the eastern kerb line of Verdon Roe Avenue to a point 171 metres west of the intersection of the western kerb line of Verdon Roe Avenue.
Verdon Roe Avenue, Woodford (Both Sides) from the intersection of the southern kerb line of Chester Road for a distance of 15 metres in a southerly direction.
Chester Road, Woodford (North / North West Side) from the intersection of the north western kerb line of Woodford Road heading in a south westerly direction, then in a westerly direction for a distance of 573 metres.
Woodford Road, Woodford (South West Side) from the intersection of the north western kerb line of Chester Road for a distance of 10 metres in a north westerly direction. Full details of these proposals are set out in the draft Order which, together with the map, may be obtained from Stockport Legal Services, Town Hall Stockport SK1 3XE.
