What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT
(POLEACRE LANE, BRIARLEY GARDENS, AND HYDE ROAD, WOODLEY) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) NOTICE 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 the effect of which will be to introduce No Waiting at Any Time at Poleacre Lane (South East Side) from a point 10m southwest of the intersection of the southwestern kerbline of Briarley Gardens, to a point 10m northeast of the intersection of the northeastern kerbline.
Briarley Gardens (North Western End) (Both Sides) from the intersection of the southeastern kerbline of Poleacre Lane, for a distance of 10m in a south easterly direction. Briarley Gardens (South Eastern End in the vicinity of property Nos 7&8) (Both Sides) from the intersection of the north western kerbline of Briarley Gardens (South West / North East arm) for a distance of 10m in a north westerly direction.
Briarley Gardens (South Eastern End in the vicinity of property Nos 7&8) (North West Side) from a point 10m south west of the intersection of the southwestern kerbline of Briarley Gardens (South East / North West arm), to a point 10m north east of the intersection of the northeastern kerbline (South East / North West arm). Polecare Lane (North Side) from the intersection of the northwestern kerbline of Hyde Road, for a distance of 30m in a westerly direction.
Poleacre Lane (South West Side) from the intersection of the northwestern kerbline of Hyde Road, for a distance of 22m in a westerly direction. Hyde Road (North West Side) from the intersection of the southwestern kerbline of Poleacre Lane to a point 10m northeast of the intersection of the northern kerbline of Poleacre Lane.
