Green Howards Road - Public Footpath Diversion Order

The North Yorkshire Council, Notice of making of a Public Path Diversion & Definitive Map & Statement Modification Order, Town & Country Planning Act 1990 Section 257, Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 Section 53A(2), Public Footpath 20.57/18 Green Howards Road Richmond, Diversion Order 2026

The above Order made on 17/07/26 will divert the public footpath described below & modify the District of Richmondshire (Outside the Yorkshire Dales National Park) Definitive Map & Statement accordingly. Public Footpath no. 20.57/18 from NZ17080172 to NZ17020187 will be diverted onto a new route from NZ17080172 north & then west around the perimeter of the newly developed bike park to NZ17020187, as shown on the Order Map. A copy of the Order & the Order map have been placed & may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Richmond Community Library, 10A Queen’s Road, Richmond, DL10 4AE, North Yorkshire until 28/08/26. Copies of the Order & map may be purchased from the Definitive Map Team, North Yorkshire Council, County Hall, Northallerton DL7 8AD (tel: 01609 532512) at a cost of £2.00, or downloaded free from our website www.northyorks.gov.uk/pathnotices.

Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to Arrietty Heath, Definitive Map Team, North Yorkshire Council, County Hall, Northallerton, North Yorkshire DL7 8AD not later than 28/08/26. Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, The North Yorkshire Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
