Ford Street - Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order
What is happening?
The Council of the City of Salford intends to make in no less than 7 days under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: SALFORD CITY COUNCIL (FORD STREET) TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026.
The Order will introduce a one-way road closure on Ford Street, heading in a southbound direction towards the junction of A6 Chapel Street, Salford, M3 5LE. The Order is required as part of Salford City Council's Chapel Street/ Trinity Way junction improvement scheme. The order is due to come into operation on Tuesday 1st September 2026 and will last for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Sunday 15th November 2026. The diversion routes are via Cleminson Street - Great George Street - A6 Chapel Street.
