South Wonston & Kings Worthy, Winchester - Multiple footpath additions

THE HAMPSHIRE DEFINITIVE MAP OF PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY AND THE HAMPSHIRE DEFINITIVE STATEMENT OF PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY (DATED 15TH DECEMBER 2007)

(PARISH OF SOUTH WONSTON AND PARISH OF KINGS WORTHY)
DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2026
The above named Order made on 16 July 2026, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by recording four footpaths in the parishes of South Wonston and Kings Worthy, as follows:  
•   SU 4621 3563 to SU 4627 3547 – South Wonston Footpath 503 - commencing at a junction with South Wonston Restricted Byway 703 and proceeding southwards to a junction with Footpath 506;
•   SU 4652 3564 to SU 4649 3552 – South Wonston Footpath 504 - commencing at a junction with South Wonston Restricted Byway 703 and proceeding south-south-westwards to a junction with Footpath 506;
•   SU 4676 3564 to SU 4677 3549 – South Wonston Footpath 505 – commencing at a junction with South Wonston Restricted Byway 703 and proceeding generally southwards to a junction with Footpath 506;
•   SU 4625 3552 to SU 4698 3547 – South Wonston Footpath 506/Kings Worthy Footpath 518 – commencing at a junction with Footpath 503 and proceeding generally eastwards to a junction with Kings Worthy Bridleway 517. A spur runs between SU 4631 3552 to SU 4627 3547, also connecting this path to Footpath 503.   A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the offices of Hampshire County Council, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UD and at the offices of Winchester City Council, City Offices, Colebrook Street, Winchester, SO23 9LJ, or online at www.hants.gov.uk/publicnotices. Copies of the Order and the map can be provided on request.   Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Head of Countryside Access, Universal Services, Hampshire County Council, Castle Avenue, Winchester, SO23 8UD, or via the internet to row.notices@hants.gov.uk quoting reference: - DMMO 245 no later than 18 September 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made.   The personal data you provide in any representation will be treated in accordance with Data Protection Legislation. We will only use the information you provide in connection with the determination of this Order. It may be made public if the matter is referred to the Planning Inspectorate. It will become part of the permanent records kept on rights of way in Hampshire. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs in whole or in part, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.   DATED this 7th day of August 2026
