What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ANNWELL LANE, SMISBY
WHEN: 27 August to 28 August 2026 (09:30 to 15:30)
WHERE: Annwell Lane, Smisby between the A511 and Smisby.
REASON: To facilitate boundary box renewal.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Annwell Lane, Main Street, Derby Road, Smisby Road, A511, A511 from Ashby Road to Boundary, roundabout at the junction of Ashby Road and A511, Ashby Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road.
The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
