(Crofthead Footbridge crossing Dedridge West Road.) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER (NO. 2) 2022 -TM.404.2026/2026

The Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that the footpath at Crofthead Footbridge which connects Alexander Drive and Crofthead Farm Community Education Centre will be closed from 17/8/2026 to 25/8/2026 to enable Bridge joint replacement and, if required, minor surfacing repairs and concrete deck repairs. works to be carried out. Pedestrians will be diverted via travelling west to east -Follow the footpath adjacent to the south side of the bridge towards Dedridge West Road. Pedestrians will then use the stairs or temporary ramp to cross Dedridge West Road at the temporary traffic lights. Upon crossing the road, pedestrians will either take the stairs or follow the footpath south along Dedridge West Road the right along Templar Rise where they can then access the footpaths within the Crofthead Centre. Pedestrians travelling east to west - Use the stairs to access the temporary lights at Dedridge West Road. Or head south from the Crofthead Centre towards Templar Rise, then turn left and left again onto Dedridge West Road. Follow Dedridge West Road north to access the temporary traffic lights.
