Ar y 27ain dydd o Orffennaf, 2026 gwnaed y Gorchymyn uchod gan Gyngor Gwynedd trwy ymarfer ei bwerau o dan Adrannau 82(2), 83(2), 84(1) a (2) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 a’r holl bwerau galluogi eraill. Effaith y Gorchymyn pan ddaw i rym ar y 10fed o Awst, 2026 fydd: 

1. Cyfyngu cyflymder unrhyw gerbyd modur i 30 m.y.a. ar hyd y darn ffordd a bennir yn yr Atodlen isod.

Mae copi o’r Gorchymyn ynghyd â’r cynllun yn dangos y ffordd yr effeithir arno a datganiad o resymau’r Cyngor dros argymell gwneud y Gorchymyn ar gael. THE CYNGOR GWYNEDD
(30 M.P.H. SPEED RESTRICTION)
(THE AFONWEN TO CHWILOG CLASS III ROAD), ORDER 2026

On the 27th July, 2026 Cyngor Gwynedd made the above Order in exercise of the powers conferred under Sections 82(2), 83(2), 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers. 

The effect of the Order when it comes into force on the 10th August, 2026 will be to:
1. Restrict the speed of motor vehicles to 30 m.p.h. on the length of road specified in the Schedule hereto.

A copy of the Order together with the map showing the length of road concerned and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order are available.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the ground that any regulations made under the act were not complied with in relation to the Order or any part of it may make application to the High Court for that purpose within six weeks of the date of publication of this notice.

from the centre of the A497 Afonwen
roundabout to the 20 m.p.h. sign near
Bronant, Chwilog for a distance of
approximately 727 metres in a
north-westerly direction.
