Darlington Borough Council made an Order on 22nd July 2024, under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which was to close:
DARLINGTON FOOTPATH 49 From a point adjacent to the northern building line of 28/30 Sherborne Close southwards and eastwards for approximately 185metres
The Order is necessary to allow construction works on Sherborne Close.
As the works are still ongoing the Secretary of State for Transport has granted an extension of the Order until 3rd February 2027 or until such time as the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
