TEMPORARY CLOSURE 405175 BENTS LANE
(DRYBROOK PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily
close part of the 405175 Bents Lane Road, from outside of the property
known as ‘Croft House’, for a distance of approximately 20 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for works by Openreach.
The said road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 10th August 2026 until 17:00hrs on 12th August 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may
remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 400113 HEYWOOD ROAD
(CINDERFORD TOWN) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily
close part of the 400113 Heywood Road, from outside of the property known as ‘No. 11’ to its junction with the High Street for a distance of
approximately 75 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for carriageway works.
The said road is expected to be closed from 10th August 2026 until 18th August 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or
until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE B4231 CHURCH ROAD CYCLEWAY
(LYDNEY TOWN) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily
close part of the B4231 Church Road Cycleway, outside of the property
known as ‘Old Farmers Store’ for a distance of approximately 60 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for electrical pole and cable installation
works.
The said public cycleway is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 12th August 2026 until 16:45hrs on 14th August 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may
remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have
been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS
(VARIOUS TOWNS AND PARISHES) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule below. 

SCHEDULE

The reason for the said closures is for carriageway patching works.
The said roads are expected to be closed from 21st August 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether they are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed
on site prior to the said closures taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated that all works will be completed by 31st March 2027, but the Order may continue until the said works have been completed
for a maximum duration of 18 months.

A48 TO JUNCTION WITH SEVERN VIEW
(WOOLASTON PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C7 Road from
the junction with A48 to junction with Severn View, from outside the
property known as ‘The School’ to its junction with Netherend Crescent,
for a distance of approximately 140 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for road surfacing works.
The said road is expected to be closed from the 26th August 2026 until 28th August 2026 only or until the works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on

temporarily close part of the 400182 Eastern Avenue outside the property
known as ‘Rock Cottage’ for a distance of approximately 25 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for repair works on behalf of Severn Trent.
The said road is expected to be closed from 21:00hrs on 26th August 2026
until 05:00hrs on 27th August 2026 only. However, if the said works are
not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen
months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

‘No.24 Ridler Road’ for a distance of approximately 50 metres.
The reason for the closure is for works on behalf of Severn Trent Water.
The road is expected to be closed from 25th August 2026 to
26th August 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until
