Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is given that THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposed to make the following Order:-
The effect of the named Order will be to introduce waiting restrictions (double yellow lines “no waiting at any time”) on the following lengths of road in Kennington, Ashford:-
CANTERBURY ROAD – On the north west side from its junction with The Street for a distance of 25 metres in a north easterly direction and 19 metres in a south westerly direction. THE STREET – (1) – On the north side from its junction with Tritton Fields for a distance of 15 metres in a south easterly direction and 13 metres in a north westerly direction. (2) On both sides from its junction with Canterbury Road for a distance of 25 metres in a north westerly direction. TRITTON FIELDS – On the both sides from its junction with The Street for a distance of 12 metres in a northerly direction.

(AMENDMENT No.4) ORDER 2026
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is given that The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter called “the Act”), and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order:-
The effect of the named Order will introduce and amend various parking, waiting and loading restriction on the following lengths of roads in Dartford:-
HIGHFIELD ROAD NORTH – On the east side from a point 13 metres north of its junction with Spital Street remove the double yellow lines and replace it with a bus stop clearway for a distance of 32 metres in a northerly direction. HYTHE STREET – On both sides from its junction with Spital Street for a distance of 21 metres in a northerly direction introduce a restricted parking zone and remove all other parking and waiting restrictions. SPITAL STREET – (1) On the north side remove the Business permit holders only from outside no 45 Spital Street. (2) On the north side remove the existing payment parking bay outside of 45-53/55 Spital Street and replace it with a goods vehicle loading bay only (1 hour no return within 1 hour Mon-Sat 8am-6:30pm). (3) On the north side reduce the existing solo motor cycle bay opposite 28 Spital Street by 12 meters. (4) On the north side reduce the disabled bay 6 meters outside 11 Spital Street. (5) On the north side between 3a and 7 Spital Street remove the existing disabled bay outside 3a and reduce the bay to 13 metres outside 3-5a only and between 5a and 7 make the bay a loading bay only times as above. (6) On the south side extend the existing double yellow lines from the eastern boundary of 72 Spital Street for an additional 10 metres in a easterly direction. (7) On the north side remove the Goods vehicle loading bay outside of 37-41 Spital Street. (8) On the both sides introduce a restricted parking zone (no waiting and loading at any time except in signed bays) from a point in line with the eastern boundary of 57 and 68 Spital Street to its junction with Hythe Street and remove all the other parking, waiting and loading restrictions within this zone.
The Order was made on 6 August 2026 and its provisions will come into effect on 7 August 2026.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.
FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA

(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2025 (AMENDMENT No.24) ORDER 2026
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the Local Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 44, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (‘the Act’) the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following order:-
The effect of the named Order will be to place an Authorised Vehicles Only bay on the following length of road in Folkestone, Folkestone and Hythe:-
MIDDELBURG SQUARE – On the island between its junction with Bouverie Road West and Cheriton Place.

(AMENDMENT No.2) ORDER 2026
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the Local Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following order:-
The effect of the proposed Order will be to add DYL waiting restrictions, Zebra Crossing and a bus stop on the following lengths of roads in Swanley, Sevenoaks:-
LONDON ROAD – DYL – (1) On its south west side from the northern boundary of 51a London Road for a distance of 21 metres in a north westerly direction. (2) To add a new crossing point and remove any DYLs from the northern boundary of 51a London Road to the junction with Beechenlea Lane. (3) On the north east side extend the existing DYLs from the junction with Beechenlea Lane to the entrance of the Gateway Trading Estate. (4) On the south west side from a point opposite the entrance to the Gateway Trading Estate extend the existing DYLs to a point in line with the southern boundary of Searles Court. (5) On the western side place DYLs from the southern boundary of Searles Court to the entrance of Searles Court. (6) On the west side from the entrance to Sealers Court join up with the DYLs from the junction with Salisbury Avenue which will include a bus stop clearway. UNNAMED ROAD – DYL – On both sides of the road from its junction with London Road for a distance of 97 metres in a north easterly direction.

The effect of the proposed Order will be to implement single yellow lines (SYL) No Waiting Monday to Saturday 8am to 12 pm, waiting restrictions on the following length of road in Riverhead, Sevenoaks:-
CHIPSTEAD LANE – (1) On its north side from number 4 to number 60 and then from number 80 to number 92 and then from Number 96a to number 112.

SWALE AREA
THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, BOROUGH OF SWALE) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER (AMENDMENT No.2) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
The effect of the Order is to introduce no waiting at any time double yellow lines (DYL) on the following length of roads in Hartlip, Hernhill, Minster on Sea and Sittingbourne, Swale:-
CENTRAL AVENUE – On the east side outside the Town Hall change the existing 24/7 Electric Taxi Recharging Point to 1 hour with no return within 2 hours. HARTLIP HILL – On the south side from its junction with Lower Hartlip Road for a distance of 20 metres in a westerly direction and 15 metres in an easterly direction. LOWER HARTLIP ROAD – (1) On the west side from its junction with Hartlip Hill for a distance of 115 metres in a southerly direction. (2) On the east side from its junction with Hartlip Hill for a distance of 81 metres in a southerly direction. (3) On the east side from the southern boundary of its entrance to Gardening World Limited for a distance of 31 metres in a southerly direction. NOREEN AVENUE – On both sides from its junction with The Broadway for a distance of 15 metres in a westerly direction. SAXON AVENUE – Remove the existing single yellow lines and replace with double yellow lines on both sides from its junction with The Broadway for a distance of 14 metres in an easterly direction. THANET WAY – On both sides from its junction with Wey Street for a distance of 114 metres in a north easterly direction. THE BROADWAY – (1) Remove the existing single yellow lines and replace with double yellow lines on the east side from its junction with Saxon Avenue for a distance of 17 metres in a northerly direction and 23 metres in a southerly direction. (2) On the west side from its junction with Noreen Avenue for a distance of 8 metres in a northerly direction and 19 metres in a southerly direction. HIGH STREET, SHEERNESS – DYLs have been amended due to the new road layout for administration purposes only.
This order was originally advertised as Amendment 24 but due to the recent consolidation order it has been renamed as above.
The Order was made on 13 August 2026 and its provisions will come into effect on 21 August 2026.
