CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(EVERTON ROAD, TEMPSFORD AND EVERTON HILL, EVERTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Everton Road, Tempsford and Everton Hill, Everton 20 metres either side of the level crossing.

This temporary closure is required to enable level crossing maintenance works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on 2200hrs on 29 August 2026 to 0800 hrs on 31 August 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Tempsford Road, Sandy Road, Everton Road, Swaden, High Street, Bedford Road, Great North Road, Blunham Lane, C54 from Blunham Lane to Station Road, Church Street and Everton Road.

The Order will come into operation on 29 August 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(STOCKBRIDGE ROAD, CLIFTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Stockbridge Road, Clifton at the junction with Church St.

This temporary closure is required to enable sluice valve repair work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 24 to 26 August 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure will be via B659, Clifton Rd, Broad St, Church St and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 24 August 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(FOOTPATH BETWEEN AMPTHILL ROAD AND OSBORN CRESCENT, SHEFFORD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along that length of footpath between Ampthill Road And Osborn Crescent, Shefford.

This temporary closure is required to enable gas main replacement work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

It is expected that the works will take place from 24 August to 4 September 2026

The alternative route for this closure is via the footways along Ampthill Rd, Bloomfield Drive, George St, Osborn Crescent and vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Ivel Road, Shefford outside number 28.

This temporary closure is required to enable new water connection work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 26 to 28 August 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure will be via Southbridge St, Ampthill Rd, A507 and vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Campton Road, Meppershall between standalone house and standalone farmhouse.

This temporary closure is required to enable stop tap replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 12 to 14 August 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route will be via Greenway, A507, Shefford Rd, High St, Campton Rd and vice versa.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Sutton Road, Sutton and Sutton Road, Dunton between High Street and Sutton Lane.

This temporary closure is required to enable civils and resurfacing work with paco and lining to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

This temporary closure is required to enable overhead cabling works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. It is expected that the works will take place from 10 August 2026 to 10 September 2026 0700-1700 hrs on Weekdays and 0700-1500hrs on Weekends.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 10 to 12 August between the hours of 0800-1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
