What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Wheatsheaf Lane, Wrabness) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the Order: To temporarily close that length of Wheatsheaf Lane, Wrabness in the District of Tendring, from its junction Harwich Road to its junction with Wall Lane a distance of approximately 1005m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th August 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2387129 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Harwich Road, Dimbols Hall Lane, Church Road, Ash Street and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 24th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Windmill Road, Bradfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the Order: To temporarily close that length of Windmill Road, Bradfield in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 70m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th August 2026 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT003DS0065531 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Windmill Road, Steam Mill Road, Straight Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 24th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
