(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure Pinewood Way – for its full extent.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 19 August 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 19 and 25 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

Manchester Road – from the junction with A269 High Street to the junction with U7699 Coombe Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7699 Coombe Lane – A269 Standard Hill, High Street and vice versa.

The Order commences 18 August 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 18 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026 No.2

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Church Wood Drive – from the junction with B2092 Crowhurst Road to the junction with U3050 Marline Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3050 Marline Road – U3045 Blackman Avenue, Ironlatch Avenue – B2092 Crowhurst Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 20 August 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 20 August and 30 September 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Telham Lane – from the junction with C27 Powdermill Lane to the junction with A2100 Hastings Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C27 Powdermill Lane – A2100 Lower Lake, Battle Hill, Hastings Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 17 August 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 17 and 21 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Magdalen Road – from the junction with A269 Upper Sea Road to the junction with A269 Dorset Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A269 Upper Sea Road, Buckhurst Road, Town Hall Square, London Road – A259(T) King Offa Way, De La Warr Road – A269 Dorset Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 18 August 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 18 and 20 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Sheepstreet Lane – from the junction with C213 Church Lane to the junction with C83 Wardsbrook Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C83 Myskyns Road – C212 Battenhurst Road, Shrub Lane – A265 Etchingham Road, Straight Mile, High Street – U6196 Burgh Hill – U6895 Fysie Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 19 August 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 19 and 21 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The Order commenced 17 March 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 6 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Grove Lane – from the junction with U6947 Playden Lane to the junction with B2082 Main Street.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2082 Main Street – U6947 Playden Lane and vice versa. The Order commences 3 August 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 3 and 4 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Beckley Road – from the junction with A28 Well House Hill to the junction with B2165 The Stream.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2165 The Stream, Clayhill – B2088 Rye Road – A28 Hastings Road, Perryman Cross, Well House Hill and vice versa. The Order commences 4 August 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 4 and 5 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

Temporary Road Closure

Junction Road – from the junction with B2165 Cripps Corner Road to the junction with B2089 Swailes Green.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2089 Swailes Green, Hooks Beech, Park Lane – A21(T) Woodmans Green Road, Hastings Road, New Road – B2244 Tollgate Road, The Street, Sandrock Hill, Hawkhurst Road, Compasses and vice versa. The Order commences 3 August 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 3 and 7 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026 No.2

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Hooks Beech/Swailes Green – from the junction with B2089 Park Lane to the junction with B2089 Catts Green.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2089 Park Lane – A21(T) Woodmans Green Road, Hastings Road, New Road, Whydown Hill, Kent Street, Ebdens Hill – A28 Ebdens Hill, Westfield Lane, Church Lane, Main Road, Brede Road, Brede Hill, Cackle Street – B2089 Chitcombe Road, Tank Hill, Whorne Woods, Catts Green and vice versa.

The Order commences 3 August 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 3 and 15 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3144 Warrior Square, St Leonards-on-Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Warrior Square – from the junction with U3160 Warrior Square to the junction with U3144 Terrace Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3144 Terrace Road, Western Road – A2102 Norman Road – U3160 Warrior Square.

To maintain access for residents only, a suspension of one-way traffic will be in place (revert to two way traffic), during these works.

The Order commences 3 August 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 3 and 23 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Temporary Road Closures

Berlin Road – from the junction with U3232 Edmund Road to the junction with U3224 Ashburnham Road.

Diversion via U3224 Ashburnham Road – U3230 Moscow Road – U3232 Edmund Road and vice versa.

Berlin Road – from the junction with U3232 Edmund Road to the junction with U3221 Athelstan Road.

Diversion via U3221 Athelstan Road – U3225 Bedford Road – U3232 Edmund Road and vice versa.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic set out above.

The Order commences 3 August 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 3 and 21 August 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING, NO STOPPING, LOADING, UNLOADING AND PARKING PLACES) (ROTHER DISTRICT CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2025 AMENDMENT NO.1 2026

Notice is hereby given that East Sussex County Council have made the above Order, on 24 July 2026, under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers which will introduce new or revise the existing parking, waiting and loading restrictions along the following lengths of road:-

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act of 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Road Traffic Regulation Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks of the date the Order is made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
