Brighton & Hove - Changes to Waiting, Loading & Parking Restrictions

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council (‘the Council’) has on 29th July 2026 made the Orders named below under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into operation on 3rd August 2026 will introduce various changes to the waiting or parking restrictions in the part or parts of the roads identified:

BRIGHTON & HOVE VARIOUS CONTROLLED PARKING ZONES CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2024 AMENDMENT ORDER NO.10 2026 (REF: TRO-12A-2026)

Zone C

Permit Parking Place Monday to Sunday – 9am to 8pm – Amend in: Queens Park Road

Motorcycle Parking Places at Any Time – Remove from: Queens Park Road

Zone G

Permit Parking Place Monday to Sunday – 9am to 8pm – Remove from: Ditchling Gardens

Disabled Badge Holder’s Parking Places At Any Time – New in: Ditchling Gardens

Permit Parking Place Monday to Sunday – 9am to 8pm – Amend in: Maresfield Road & Sussex Square

Introduces in new non-compliance administration charge for suspensions.

BRIGHTON & HOVE (OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2019 AMENDMENT NO.2 2026

(TRO-12D-2026)

Introduces a new evening tariff rate for London Road Car Park.

A copy of this Notice, the proposed Order, plans showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be seen online at www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/current-tros.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirements of the Act or of any instrument made under it have not been complied with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
