BRIGHTON & HOVE (PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES) (SCHOOL STREETS) ORDER 2026 (TRO- 03-2026)
NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council ("the Council") has on 29 July 2026 made the Order named above under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into operation on 2nd September 2026 will create a new School Streets order, updating the articles to make it clearer for enforcement and consolidate all School Streets onto one schedule. The previous Schools Street order and its subsequent amendments will be revoked.
A copy of this Notice, the Order as made and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order may be seen online at www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/current-tros.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of any of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirements of the Act or of any instrument made under it have not been complied with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
