Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The GLA Roads And GLA Side Roads (Barnet) Red Route Consolidation Traffic Order 2008 A41 GLA Road (Watford Way) (Electric Vehicle Charging Points) Variation Order 2026

1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that on 23rd July 2026 it made the above named Order, under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into operation 1st August 2026.

2. The general nature and effect of the Order will be to:

(1) reduce the Parking and Disabled Persons vehicles bay on Watford Way just south of School House, Prothero Gardens by 33 metres from its southern end

Parking Mon - Sat 7am - 7pm 1 hour No return within 2 hours.

(2) introduce 4 electric vehicle charging bays, each 5 metres in length, on Watford Way just south of School House, Prothero Gardens No Stopping At Any Time Except Charging of Electric Vehicles Only Max 1 hour no return within 2 hours;

(3) Introduce two 13 metre lengths of Double Red Lines, No Stopping At Any Time, on Watford Way just south of School House, Prothero Gardens;

(4) Introduce a Parking and Disabled Persons vehicles bay of length 5.5 metres on Watford Way immediately south-east of the second-most southern of the 4 proposed electric vehicle charging bays. Parking Mon - Sat 7am - 7pm 1 hour No return within 2 hours.

The road which would be affected by the Order is A41 Watford Way.

3. A copy of the Order, a map indicating the location and effect of the Order and copies of any Order revoked, suspended or varied by the Order can be inspected by visiting our website at https://haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/tro and selecting the relevant borough and reference the Traffic Order relates to or by appointment during normal office hours at our office at the address below. Please note due to Hybrid working access to post is restricted and requests for documents may be delayed.

4. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers conferred by the Act or that any requirement of the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
