ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND UPON THAMES (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (CIVIL ENFORCEMENT AREA) (AMENDMENT No. *) ORDER 202

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames propose to make the above Order under section 6, 23 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Amendment Order will be to introduce lengths of yellow lines as set out in the schedule to this Notice.

3. Copies of further particulars relating to the Order:-

(a) can be inspected, quoting Reference 26/142, at Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and

(b) may be viewed on the Council’s web-site at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices

4. Persons wishing to object to or support the proposals or any part thereof should write to the Director of Highways and Street Scene, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ within 28 days of the date of this Notice giving the grounds of their objection. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1)

Temporary Road Closure

Broom Road, Teddington.

(Reference 26/137)

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate remedial works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Broom Road, Teddington.

2. Whilst the work takes place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Broom Road, Teddington at the junction with Trowlock Way.

3. The order will come into effect 10 August 2026. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 10 August to 11 August 2026. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. Whilst the closure is in place an alternative route for traffic will be via Broom Road, Ferry Road, Kingston Road, Upper Teddington Road, High Street and Lower Teddington Road.

5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

6. Nothing in the Order applies to:

• (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

• (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

• (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Road Closure

Church Road, Richmond.

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate electrical works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Church Road, Richmond.

2. Whilst the work takes place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Church Road, Richmond from the junction with Kew Road to the junction with St Johns Road.

3. The order will come into effect 13 August 2026. These works are anticipated to be in progress from 13 August to 23 August 2026. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. Whilst the closure is in place an alternative route for traffic will be via Church Road, Sheen Road, Paradise Road, George Street, The Quadrant and vice versa.

5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

6. Nothing in the Order applies to:
   • (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

   • (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

   • (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

Temporary Waiting Restrictions

Edwin Road, Twickenham.

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate development works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Edwin Road, Twickenham.

2. The existing end parking bay located next to lamp column 003 will be removed and the double yellow lines will be extended by 5 metres; the remaining permit holder bays use will be changed to business permit holder only.

3. The pavement will be closed from Greggs Gate/entrance next to lamp column 003 eastwards for a distance of 20 metres to the end of the parking bays.

4. The order will come into effect on 30 July 2026. The order will be in force at all times; the order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the works completed should this date be sooner.

5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

6. Nothing in the Order applies to:
   • (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

   • (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

   • (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE to facilitate water works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Grove Terrace, Teddington.

2. Whilst the work takes place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Grove Terrace, Teddington outside and opposite number 27.

3. The order will come into effect 10 August 2026. These works are anticipated to be in progress on 10 August 2026 only. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. Whilst the closure is in place an alternative route for traffic will be via Grove Terrace, The Grove, Grove Gardens, Grove Terrace.

5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

6. Nothing in the Order applies to:
   • (a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

   • (b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

   • (c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
