TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (KING'S ROAD) 2026
The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea give notice that they intend to make a Temporary Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Schedule 1 Section 14 (1)(a) and all other enabling powers prohibiting motorised vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below.
King's Road to be closed eastbound from the junction of Cadogan Gardens to the junction of Sloane Square.
The road is to be closed to vehicles for crane works.
The restrictions will come into force from 08.00hrs until 18.00hrs on Sunday 16th August 2026, with a backup date of Sunday 23rd August 2026.
Diverted through traffic may use, King's Road, Sydney Street, Fulham Road, Brompton Road, A4 Brompton Road, A4 Knightsbridge, Sloane Street, Sloane Square.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to:
• anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.
• anything done in connection with the execution of said works.
