CAIRO NEW ROAD, CHURCH STREET & GEORGE STREET, CROYDON
TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY RESTRICTIONS
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate a trial allowing trams to travel in the opposite direction to the one-way working in Cairo New Road, Church Street and George Street, Croydon, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily suspend the one-way working restrictions for trams in those streets.
2. Whilst the said trial is taking place, one-way working will be suspended for trams in the following sections of road:
a) Cairo New Road from the northern boundary of Arcadia House, Cairo New Road to its junction with Church Street.
b) Church Street from its junction with Cairo New Road to its junction with George Street.
c) George Street from its junction with Church Street to its junction with Wellesley Road.
3. The Order will come into operation on 16 August 2026, and it is anticipated that the trial will be completed on 21 August 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should it be required.
4. The restriction specified in paragraph 2 above shall apply only during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. The suspension of the one-way restriction shall only apply in respect of trams involved in the said trial.

HARRINGTON ROAD, SOUTH NORWOOD
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate new gas connection works by SGN, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Harrington Road, South Norwood.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place Harrington Road will be closed between its junction with Westgate Road and the common boundary of Nos. 109/111 and 113/115 Harrington Road.
3. During the closure, the alternative route for traffic will be via Lonsdale Road, Archer Road, Albert Road and vice versa.
4. The Order will come into operation on 17 August 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed within five days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works to install a pressure hydrant on behalf of Thames Water, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Northborough Road.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place Northborough Road will be closed between its junction with Darcy Road and the common boundary of Nos. 272 and 274 Northborough Road.
3. During the works the diversion routes for traffic will be as detailed below.
• Via Wide Way, South Lodge Avenue, Gilpins Road, London Road, and reversed.
• Via Rowan Road, Greyhound Terrace, Streatham Vale, London Road, and reversed.
4. The Order will come into operation on 17 August 2026, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 20 August 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

CAMPBELL ROAD, QUEEN'S ROAD & SUTHERLAND ROAD, CROYDON
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC & PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate pit inspection works by UKPN, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Campbell Road, Queen's Road, and Sutherland Road.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) Sutherland Road will be closed between its junctions with Canterbury Road and Midhurst Avenue.
b) Parking bays within the closure area in Sutherland Road will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time.
c) Queen's Road will be closed between the common boundaries of Nos. 103 and 105 and Nos. 113 and 113a Queen's Road, and between the common boundaries of Nos. 113 and 113a and Nos. 121 and 123 Queen's Road.
d) The footway on the northeastern (cemetery) side of Queens Road will be closed within the above specified sections of the road.
e) Parking bays on both sides of Queen's Road between the common boundary of Nos. 95 and 97 and No. 113a Queen's Road will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time.
f) Campbell Road will be closed between its junctions with Bensham Lane and Broad Green Avenue.
g) Parking bays within the closure area in Campbell Road will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time.
3. During the closures, the diversion routes for vehicular traffic will be as detailed below. Pedestrians affected by the footway closure in Queen's Road will be diverted to the opposite footway.
- Sutherland Road closure: Via Sutherland Road, Mitcham Road, Wentworth Road, and Canterbury Road, or via Dennet Road, London Road, and Midhurst Avenue, or via Canterbury Road, London Road, and Midhurst Avenue.
- Queen's Road closure: Via Princess Road, Whitehorse Road, and Pawsons Road, or via Windmill Road, Whitehorse Road, and Pawsons Road, or via St Saviours Road, Lodge Road, and Windmill Road, or via Windmill Road, St James Road, London Road, Mayday Road, and Bensham Lane.
- Campbell Road closure: Via Bensham Lane, Mayday Road, London Road and reversed, or via London Road and Bensham Lane, or via Bensham Lane and Lodge Road.
4. The Order will come into operation on 13 August 2026, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 30 September 2026. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.
