Twyford Abbey Road - Relocation of Two Electric Vehicle Charging Points

LONDON BOROUGH OF BRENT

THE BRENT (ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING POINTS) (NO. 1, 2023) (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2026

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Brent on 27th July 2026 made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985, the Parking Acts of 1986 and 1989 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.

2. The general effect of the ‘Electric Vehicle Charging Points’ Order will be to slightly relocate two electric vehicle charging points in Twyford Abbey Road, the north-west side, located opposite Crystal House, No. 1 Agate Close to enable the construction of a new vehicle access and dropped kerb required to serve an approved development.

3. The charging points referred to in paragraph 2 above will be available for electric vehicles only “at any time”, without charge, provided that:-

(a) the vehicle is connected to the charging post via the re-charging lead provided at all times while it is left at the charging point;

(b) the usual exemption relating to vehicles displaying a disabled person’s “Blue Badge” will apply.

4. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 3rd August 2026, of maps of the relevant areas and of the above-mentioned Order of 2023 (and of any Orders which have amended that Order) can be requested via email during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made at trafficorders@brent.gov.uk.

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of any of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to any of the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
