Waltham Forest - Multiple Traffic Notices for Utility Works

LONDON BOROUGH OF WALTHAM FOREST (LBWF)

THE WALTHAM FOREST (THAMES WATER) (STANLEY ROAD E4) (TEMPORARY MEASURES) (NO. 1) ORDER 2026

The Council of the LBWF HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that on 30th July 2026 it made an Order to enable lead service pipe relays works to be carried out by Thames Water in a safe and efficient manner, in Stanley Rd E4.

The general effect of the Order will be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, in Stanley Rd, between its junctions with Station Rd and Cross Rd;

(a) to prohibit motor vehicles from entering, waiting or loading for any purpose, at “any time”; and

(b) to suspend any designated controlled parking spaces.

The Order will come into operation on 3rd August 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

NOTE: The works are expected to be completed within 1 month, however the Order has been extended to allow for contingencies.

THE WALTHAM FOREST (MAUD ROAD E10) (THAMES WATER) (TEMPORARY MEASURES) (NO. 1) ORDER 2026

The Council of the LBWF HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it intends to make an Order to enable Thames Water to carry out excavation works in a safe and efficient manner in the carriageway and footway on Maud Road E10, for the replacement of a district meter.

The general effect of the Order would be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, in;

(i) Maud Rd; from the south-western kerb-line of High Road Leyton, south-westwards for 10 metres, to prohibit motor vehicles from entering, waiting or loading for any purpose, at “any time”.

(ii) High Rd Leyton;

between the common boundary of Nos. 233 and 235 High Rd Leyton and a point 20 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Maud Rd, suspend the northbound lane and prohibit pedestrian access on the western footway;

(b) suspend the pedestrian crossing outside No. 229 High Rd Leyton;

(c) suspend the bus stop adjacent to No. 25 Maud Rd.

The Order would come into operation on 10th August 2026 and would be valid for a maximum period of 1 month or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

NOTE: The works are expected to be completed within 5 days. The Order has been extended to allow for contingencies.

THE WALTHAM FOREST (FOREST DRIVE IG8) (ERITH CONNECT LTD) (TEMPORARY MEASURES) (NO. 1) ORDER 2026

The Council of the LBWF HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that on 30th July 2026 it made an Order to enable installation works of a new water and electricity connection, to be carried out by Erith Connect Ltd in a safe and efficient manner, in Forest Drive IG8.

The general effect of the Order will be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed, in Forest Drive, to prohibit motor vehicles from entering, waiting or loading for any purpose, at “any time” (on both sides), between No. 45 Forest Drive and its junction with Sky Peals Road.

Access and egress will be maintained when safe to do so.

The Order will come into operation on 30th July 2026 and will be valid for a maximum period of 3 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

NOTE: The works are expected to be completed within 14 days, however the Order has been extended to allow for contingencies.

Whilst the prohibitions referred to above remain in force, advance warning signage and alternative routes for traffic and pedestrians shall be in place.

The restrictions mentioned above would not apply in relation to any vehicle being used:

(a) in connection with the said works; or

(b) for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes (if the works allow).

NOTE: Signage will be placed in advance of any works in the above-mentioned roads which would give more specific details on the exact dates of the prohibitions, effects of any temporary traffic management and diversion routes as necessary.
