What is happening?

The City of Edinburgh Council

(Harrison Road) (no. 2) (Temporary Road Restriction and Traffic Regulation) order 2026 - Temp/26/115

The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate bridge structural repair works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on any part of; and (b) walk or cause or permit any person to walk on any part of the footways of; harrison rd: (i) from the extended south-east building line of No. 17 Harrison Rd, south-eastwards to the extended northwest building line of No. 57 Harrison Rd; & (ii) from the extended north-west kerbline of Polwarth Ter, northwestwards for 80m. The following Order, “The City of Edinburgh Council (Harrison Road) (Temporary Road Restriction and Traffic Regulation) Order 2026” is hereby revoked. The alternative routes for through vehicular traffic in relation to the road closures of harrison rd are: (i) Harrison Rd, Slateford Rd (A70), Shandon Pl, Ashley Ter, Harrison Gdns & Harrison Rd; & (ii) Harrison Rd, Polwarth Ter, Ashley Ter, Harrison Gdns & Harrison Rd. The alternative route for pedestrians in relation to the footway closures of harrison rd is: Harrison Rd, West Bryson Rd, Dundee Ter, Angle Pk Ter, Slateford Rd (A70) and Harrison Rd. The Order shall have effect from 31/07/26 to 31/10/26.
