Notice of Making

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: Carriageway Retexturing (26-740) Temporary Road Closure Order 2026 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the roads shown in schedule 1 of the Order. Diversion routes will be signposted locally and published online at One.Network.

The said closures are required due to carriageway retexturing and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said Order will come into force on the 29th July 2026 and will remain for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport) or until any said proposed works are completed, (whichever is the earlier), or until determined by Herefordshire Council. However, the programme of works is expected to be completed within 3 nights approximately. Definitive dates & times will be notified by on-site advanced warning signs, but each road is expected to be closed for durations shown in Schedule 1 of the Order.

Any queries in relation to this Order should be directed to Tel: 01432 261800 or please use our online form to contact us via www.herefordshire.gov.uk/contactus.
