NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Stonecroft Gardens, Shepley from a point outside property no. 3 to a point outside property no. 9a PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Brow Lane, Holmfirth from a point approximately 155 metres from junction with Royd Lane to its junction with Ward Place Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Cemetery Road, Cartworth Road, Cartworth Bank Road, Gill Lane, Stony Gate, Hill House Road, Brow Lane.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 17 August 2026 and remain in force until 28 August 2026 between 08:00 hours to 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(MAIN AVENUE, COWLERSLEY HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Main Avenue, Cowlersley from a point outside no. 1A Main Avenue to its termination point. 

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. There is no alternative diversionary route available.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Bank Top Lane/Field End Lane, Holmbridge from its junction with Holmclose to its junction with Digley Royd Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. (BOG GREEN LANE, COLNE BRIDGE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Bog Green Lane, Colne Bridge from its junction with Mill Lane for approximately 10 metres in an easterly direction PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Bog Green Lane, Moor Top Road, Liley Lane, Wakefield Road, Southgate, Leeds Road, Cooper Bridge Road, Colne Bridge Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence at 08:00 hours on Sunday, 16 August 2026 and remain in force until 06:00 hours on 17 August 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(SHARP LANE, ALMONDBURY, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Sharp Lane, Almondbury from its junction with Arkenley Lane to its junction with Westgate PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Arkenley Lane, St Helen’s Gate, Northgate, Westgate.

(MARSDEN LANE/WAREHOUSE HILL ROAD, MARSDEN, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Marsden Lane/ Warehouse Hill Road from a point approximately 40 metres south west of Huddersfield Narrow Canal bridge to a point approximately 5 metres north east of Huddersfield Narrow Canal bridge PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

(SCHOOL LANE/ST MARY’S LANE, KIRKHEATON, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of School Lane/St Mary’s Lane from School Lane to a point approximately 50 metres north of Lane Side Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Longlands Road, Slaithwaite from a point outside property no. 9 to a point outside property no. 13 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

(HILL TOP ROAD, DALTON, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Hill Top Road, Dalton from its junction with Broad Lane to a point to side of property no. 1 Carr Green Lane on Hill Top Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

(PEEL STREET, MARSDEN, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Peel Street, Marsden from a point outside property no. 34 to a point outside property no. 32 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

It is intended that the closure will commence at 19:00 hours on Thursday, 20 August 2026 remain in force until 06:00 hours on 21 August 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary). 

(BEECH STREET, PADDOCK, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Beech Street, Paddock from its junction with Luck Lane to a point outside property No. 88 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Beech Street, Luck Lane, Larch Road, North Street and vice versa.

(PARKWOOD ROAD, LONGWOOD, HUDDERSFIELD) 
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Parkwood Road, Longwood from a point outside property No. 33 to a point outside property No. 37 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. 

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Parkwood Road, Grove Street, Stoney Lane, Leymoor Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday, 6 August 2026 and remain in force until 12 August 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(CALF HILL ROAD, THONGSBRIDGE, HOLMFIRTH) 
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Calf Hill Road, Thongsbridge from its junction with Woodhead Road to its junction with Alice Bank Chase PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Calf Hill Road, Dean Brook Road, Deanhouse Lane, Giles Street, School Street, Thong Lane, Woodhead Road.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Heath Road, Linthwaite from its junction with Church Lane for approximately 35 metres PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Wood Nook Lane, Honley from its junction with Knowle Road for approximately 20 metres PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Meltham Road, Moorbottom, Bradshaw Road, the unaffected length of Wood Nook Lane. 

It is intended that the closure will operate on Monday, 3 August 2026 between 09:30 hours to 15:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary). 

(DAM HILL, SHELLEY/BIRKS LANE, STOCKSMOOR, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Shelley/Stocksmoor as follows:-

Dam Hill - from its junction with Thunder Bridge Lane to its junction with Penistone Road

Birks Lane - from its junction with Thunder Bridge Lane to its junction with Station Road

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes:-
Dam Hill - via Penistone Road, Thunderbridge Lane and vice versa.

Birks Lane - via Stocksmoor Lane, Brown’s Knoll Road, Town Moor, The Village, Thurstonland Bank Road, New Mill Road, Huddersfield Road, Penistone Road, Holmfirth Road, Lane Head Road, Abbey Road South, Abbey Road North, Abbey Road, Penistone Road, Dam Hill Road and vice versa.

The closure commenced on Monday, 23 February 2026 and remain in force until 31 July 2026 in two phases has been further extended to remain in force until 25 September 2026:-

Dam Hill - between 23 February 2026 and 25 July 2026 Birks Lane - between 27 July 2026 and 25 September 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
