Notice of Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Banbury, Dover Avenue

Date of Order: 10 August 2026
Coming into force: 21 August 2026
This Order is being introduced because of new power supply works which are anticipated to be completed on 27 August 2026. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in that part of Dover Avenue outside No.47. Exemptions are included for emergency vehicles, the Works and for access to property. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T18250/RAG)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order Banbury, A361 Southam Road / Horse Fair

Date of Order: 17 August 2026
Coming into force: 24 August 2026
This Order is being introduced because of the road resurfacing and associated works which are anticipated to be completed 11 September 2026. This will operate between 20:00 and 06:00hours.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit through traffic and waiting at any time as follows:

• Phase 1: A361 Southam Road, between the roundabout with A422 Hennef Way and the crossroads with B4100 Warwick Rd/Castle Street.
• Phase 2: A361 Horse Fair, between the crossroads with B4100 Warwick Rd/Castle Street and the Banbury Cross Roundabout with B4035 West Bar Street.
• Phase 3: A361 Southam Rd/Horse Fair, between the roundabout with A422 Hennef Way and the Banbury Cross Roundabout with B4035 West Bar Street.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when and where the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency vehicles, the Works and for access to property. Access will be maintained for cyclists
and pedestrians. The alternative route via the A361, A4260, A422 and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T18151/AC)

Notice is hereby given that Oxfordshire County Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, intends to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order as detailed below:

Nature of Restriction: Road Closure
Location: Tays Gateway, Deddington, Oxfordshire
Description of Works: VALVE REPAIR IN CARRIAGEWAY being carried out by THAMES WATER.
Duration: Starting on 21/09/2026 00:00
The anticipated completion date is 23/09/2026 23:59 (inclusive)

(Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders have a maximum duration of 18 months, or 6 months for footpaths, bridleways, cycle tracks and byways that are open to all traffic).

Access: Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and for properties within the closed section of road where reasonably practicable. 
Suggested Alternative Route: Diversion via Earls Lane, Banbury Road, Horse Fair, Victoria Terrace and vice versa.

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order South Newington Footpath 355/16/10 Closure
Date of Order: 17 August 2026
Coming into force: 24 August 2026
This Order is being introduced because of installation of underground electricity cables and allow removal of the overhead network, which is to be completed 11 September 2026. This is a 24 hour footpath closure. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily that part of Footpath No.355/16/10 at Tink-a-Tank. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of footpath. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. The alternative route will be signed locally. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T18292/AC)

Description of Works: Road closure to facilitate Microsurfacing works being carried out by M Group Highways Limited on behalf of Oxfordshire County Council. TTRO reference: 54
Duration: Starting on 16/09/2026 09:30
The anticipated completion date is 19/09/2026 15:30

The anticipated completion date is 21/09/2026 16:00

Access: Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and for properties within the closed section of road where reasonably practicable.
Suggested Alternative Route: Bretch Hill, Braithwaite Close and vice versa.
