TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

TR08800 – Station Road in Lostock

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in LOSTOCK to enable sewer repair in carriageway work to be carried out by United Utilities Water Ltd.

STATION ROAD: 16, STATION ROAD, LOSTOCK GRALAM, NORTHWICH, (CW9 7PN)

Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

The Order will come into force on 03/08/2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 12 days to complete.

Alternative routes for traffic – Traffic should proceed via:

Diversion route 1

Station Road, Birches Lane, A556 Shurlach Road, A559 Manchester Road, Station Road

Diversion route 2

Station Road, A559 Manchester Road, A556 Shurlach Road, Rudheath Roadabout, A556 Shurlach Road, Birches Lane, Station Road.

TR023583 – Chester Road Bypass In Northwich

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in NORTHWICH to enable Carriageway Surfacing – Prep, Surfacing, Lining & Loops – Night time working works to be carried out by UE500 – Colas Ltd (CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER COUNCIL).

CHESTER ROAD BYPASS: A556 Chester Road Bypass – WESTBOUND closure (Chester direction) between the Davenham Road and Whitegate Lane flyover. EASTBOUND direction remains open

Alternative routes for through traffic – Traffic should proceed via: Davenham RAB, A533 Kingsmead, A533 Davenham Bypass, A5018 Bostock Road, A5108 Wharton Park Road, Wharton RAB, A54 High Street, A540 Oakmere Road, A54 Chester Lane, A49 Tarporley Road.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in NORTHWICH to enable Carriageway Surfacing and Lining works to be carried out by UE500 – Colas Ltd (CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER COUNCIL).

HARTFORD ROAD: Hartford Road closure between its junction at A556 Chester Road to London Road

NOTE: The works are weather dependant and may be subject to rescheduling in the event of inclement weather.

Alternative routes for through traffic – Traffic should proceed via: A556 Chester Road, Davenham RAB, London Road and vice versa.
