Guildford On-Street Parking Management Review –
Proposed Amendments to the On-Street Parking Controls in The Parished Areas within The Borough Of Guildford

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Surrey County Council (“the County Council”) proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 36, 49, 51 and 53 of and Parts III and IV to Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the 1984 Act’) the effect of which will be to introduce new at any time waiting restrictions in certain lengths of roads within the Parished areas of the Borough of Guildford as described below in this Notice

The Order, to be known as, “The Surrey County Council (Various Roads in the Parished Areas within the Borough of Guildford) (Prohibition of Waiting) (No._) Order 202-” proposes to make the changes as described below.

The general purpose and effect of the No._ Order of 202- will be to:
(a) introduce No Waiting At Any Time restrictions,

(b) provide that in the lengths of roads referred to in paragraph (a) above that, in respect to the proposed waiting restrictions, the usual exemptions for loading and unloading vehicles, boarding and alighting from vehicles, using vehicles for works on or adjoining those lengths of roads and the services in them and for disabled persons’ vehicles in accordance with the “Blue Badge” Scheme would apply’

(c) carry out a drafting amendment to The Surrey County Council (Various Roads in the Parished Areas within the Borough of Guildford) (Prohibition of Waiting and Stopping Outside Schools) (No. 1) Order 2026 (“the Order of 2026”) which will not affect any of the on-street parking controls introduced by that Order in any way whatsoever.

INTRODUCE NO WAITING AT ANY TIME DOUBLE YELLOW LINES
Guildford Road, A246 (On the northwestern side, from its junction with The Street to 30m southwest of its junction with Norwood Road).

Ash Lodge Drive (On the south side from 40m to 60m east of its junction with Manor Road)

Ash Street, Ash (From 38m to 80m northeast of the roundabout with Manor Road)

Browns Lane, Effingham (Both sides from its junction with the Guildford Road, A246 to 7m north thereof)

Cypress Grove, Ash Vale (a)On the northwestern and southeastern side, around the corner in the vicinity of No. 65 and b) Various lengths all sides, from 35m northeast of its junction with Birch Way to the southern end of the road adjacent to the western boundary of No.25 and the eastern boundary of No.1.)

Dawney Hill, Pirbright (Both sides from 35m to 90m north of its junction with Avenue De Cagny)

Gomshall Lane, Shere (Various lengths both sides from 15m east of its junction with Middle Street to 53m Southwest of its junction with Shere Road)

Littleworth Road, The Sands (Both sides from its junction with The Green to 25m southwest thereof)

Lower Eashing (On the south and east side, from the northern entrance to Eashing Service Station to (a) northern side of the exit from the Eashing Service Station and (b) from the southern side of the exit to 380m south thereof.)

Manor Road, Ash (Various lengths both sides from 20m south from its junction with Kings Avenue to 20m North of its junction with Carfax Avenue)

Newfield Road, Ash (On the southern side from 15m west of its junction with Vale Road Service Road to 15m east of its junction with Wentworth Crescent). 

Poyle Road, Tongham (Various lengths both sides from 40m southwest of its junction with Church Close to its junction with The Cardinals)

Sands Road, The Sands (Both sides from its junction with The Green to 15m northwest thereof)

Sandy Lane, Shere (On the east side from its junction with Spinning Walk to 30m South thereof)

School Lane, Pirbright (Various lengths both sides from its junction with A324 Dawney Hill to 17m southeast of its junction with Dawney’s Road)

Seale Lane, Puttenham (Both sides from 15m east of its junction with Munday’s Boro Road to 15m West thereof)

Shere Lane, Shere (Various lengths both sides from its junction with Spinning Walk to the Southern boundary of The Vaughans)

Smugglers Way, The Sands (Both sides from its junction with Littleworth Road to 25m south thereof)

Spinning Walk, Shere (Both sides from its junction with Shere Lane to 15m east thereof)

Station Road West, Ash Vale (On the southwestern side from 60m to 84m Northwest of its junction with Avondale). 

The Green, The Sands (Various lengths both sides from its junction with Sands Road to 15m north thereof)

The Street, Tongham (Various lengths both sides from 15m south of the access to Manor House Flats to 30m North thereof.)

Upper Street, Shere (Various lengths both sides from its junction with A25 Guildford Road to 18m west of its junction with Middle Street)

Wentworth Close (On the eastern and southeastern side, from 15m North of its junction with Wentworth Cresent to the end of the road).

Wentworth Crescent (Various lengths both sides from its junction from 15m west of its junction with the Vale Service Road to the end of the road).

(4) Shere Parish Council, Tanyard Hall, 30 Station Road, Gomshall, GU5 9LF (Monday and Thursdays Only between 9am-1pm) or 

(5) Ash Library, Ash Street, Ash (Near Aldershot), Surrey, GU12 6LF or 

(6) Horsley Library, Station Parade West, Ockham Road South, East Horsley, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT24 6QR during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive in the case of (1) and (2) immediately above or normal opening hours in the case of (3), (5) and (6) immediately above.
