Gloucestershire - Multiple Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION OF VARIOUS ROADS

(CIRENCESTER TOWN) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close the lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule below.

SCHEDULE

The reason for the closures is for micro road dressing works.

There will be no waiting and no loading permitted throughout the duration of the works.

The roads are expected to be closed and restricted during various times on a rolling programme commencing 3rd August 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures taking effect. This Order may permit the closures in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed 30th November 2026. However, if the works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C280 LEIGHTERTON TO A433 COUNTY BOUNDARY (DIDMARTON PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C280 Leighterton to A433 County Boundary Road from its junction with Bath Road to its junction with Silkwood Place for a distance of approximately 242 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for overhead cabling works.

The said road is expected to be closed between 09:30hrs and 15:00hrs on 6th August 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

(SHIPTON AND COMPTON ABDALE PARISHES) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the lengths of roads as detailed in the Schedule below.

SCHEDULE

The reason for the said closures is for carriageway resurfacing works.

There will be no stopping or waiting and no loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.

The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted, each night between 20:00hrs and 07:00hrs, on a rolling programme commencing 3rd August 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the said closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures and restrictions taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures and restrictions in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 17th August 2026.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C152 WINSON FARM TO DITCH LANE WINSON

(WINSON PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C152 Winson Farm to Ditch Lane Winson Road from outside of the property known as ‘Reservoir Cottage’ to outside of the property known as ‘Village Farm’ for a distance of approximately 24 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for repair works by Thames Water.

The said road is expected to be closed from 18th August 2026 until 20th August 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C168 Horcott Road from its junction with Milton Street to outside the property known as ‘Cats Lodge’ for a distance of approximately 88 metres. The reason for the said closure is for works by Openreach.

The said road is expected to be closed from 18th August 2026 until 20th August 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 407140 Barn Way from its junction with Gloucester Road to outside the property known as ‘Torello’ for a distance of approximately 77 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works by Openreach.

The said road is expected to be closed from 21st August 2026 until 22nd August 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close the lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule below.

SCHEDULE

The said roads are expected to be closed each day between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs from 17th August 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether they are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated that all works will be completed by 19th August 2026, but the Order may continue until the said works have been completed, for a maximum duration of 18 months.

The reason for the said closures is for works by Openreach.
