What is happening?

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(CHURCH ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton
City Council have made an Order under Section
14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary
Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from
proceeding on the following stretch of road:
· Church Road closed one way in a westerly
direction, at its junction with Three Tuns Lane to
side of property 56. Egress to be maintained at the
junction with Three Tuns Lane.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of
eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will
be undertaken from 3rd August 2026 until 5th August
2026.
The vehicular diversion route is: Three Tuns Lane,
Stafford Road.
The Order is required to facilitate works for a large
washout install by Severn Trent Water.
