TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S - PUBLIC NOTICES OF INTENTION



NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“the Council”) intend, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of road/s as stated below.  The Order/s for restriction is/are required for the purpose/s as stated below.  There are exceptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing the necessary works to be undertaken.  Access will be maintained for cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below. It is intended that the proposed restriction/s will come into force on the 10th August 2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months (unless extended upon the direction of the Secretary of State) or until any said works which it is proposed to be carried out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.  However, it is expected the Order will only be operative for the duration as stated in below.

Porthill Road, Shrewsbury on 10th August 2026 for 15 days for Utility Streetworks 
Unnamed Road, Wilcott on 10th August 2026 for 3 days for Utility Streetworks
Green Lane Albrighton on 10th August 2026 for 3 days for Utility Streetworks
Unnamed road, Claverley on 10th August 2026 for 8 days for Highways Roadworks 
Draycott, Claverley on 14th August 2026 for 6 days for Highways Roadworks 
Whittington Level Crossing, A495 Station Road on 16th August 2026 for 15 days for Utility Streetworks
Unnamed road east of Moreton Corbet on 10th August 2026 for 19 days for Highways Roadworks
Lacon Street, Prees on 10th August 2026 for 1 day for Utility Streetworks
