Temporary Prohibition of Use of Footpath 139 Oswestry Rural

Shropshire Council has made an order temporarily prohibiting the use of Footpath 139 Parish of Oswestry Rural at Coed y Go from where it leaves Chain Lane at grid reference SJ 2741 2791 running in a south westerly direction meeting the County Road at grid reference SJ 2727 2770.
An extension has been granted by the Secretary of State allowing the Order to continue to be in force from 2nd August 2026 until the 2nd February 2027 or until the works are completed whichever is earlier. It is required so that drainage pipework’s can safely be carried out in the area. Works are expected to end by the end of August 2026.
There is no alternative route available.
