Sawrey - Temporary No Waiting and No Loading/Unloading Traffic Restriction

(TEMPORARY NO WAITING AT ANY TIME AND NO LOADING/UNLOADING AT ANY TIME TRAFFIC RESTRICTION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because of the likelihood of danger to the public, due to inconsiderate parking causing an obstruction to road users and emergency service vehicles, Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from waiting at any time, on any day and/or from loading/unloading, at any time, on any day (including blue badge holders) along that section of the U5663 Near Sawrey (both sides), from a point approx. 415 metres north west of its junction with the B5285, extending in a northerly direction for its entire length.

This follows emergency notices dated 23 June 2026 and 14 July 2026.

The Order will come into operation on 4th August 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
