East Street (D2557) Bookham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026

On 29 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) East Street (D2557) Bookham as extends from its junction with (D265) Lower Road to its junction with (X8212) Forge Court; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council East Street (D2557) Bookham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” in its entirety. Alternative Route: Lower Road, The Lorne, Hawkwood Rise, (A246) Guildford Road, and East Street, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate spine cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates, if required, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Horsham Road (C49) Forest Green
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 24 July 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Horsham Road (C49) Forest Green as extends from its junction with Fernbank Close (X8072) to its junction with Ockley Road (B2127).

Alternative route – B2127 (Ockley Road), B2126 (Ockley Road), A29 (Stane Street), Okewood Hill, Honeywood Lane, Horsham Road and Walliswood Green Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate cabling, gully sucking and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 August 2026 for 2 days between the hours of 9.00pm and 6.00am. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Crossland Road (D1268) Redhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 24 July 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Crossland Road (D1268) Redhill as extends from the northern boundary of “5 Crossland Road” to the southern boundary of “7 Crossland Road”.

Alternative route – Hillfield Road, A25 (Redstone Hill) and Cavendish Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate topography works, jetting, CCTV, site investigation and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 August 2026 for 4 days between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services and residents will be maintained either side of but not through the works site. Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Tollgate Avenue (D1291) Redhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 24 July 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tollgate Avenue (D1291) Redhill as extends from its junction with Horley Road (A23) to the western boundary of “2 Tollgate Avenue”.

Alternative route – Tollgate Avenue, A2044 (Woodhatch Road) and A23 (Horley Road), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable SES Water to facilitate a new water connection and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 August 2026 for 5 days between the hours of 8.00am and 4.30pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services and residents will be maintained either side of but not through the works site. Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

C57 Ifield Road, Charlwood
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026

On 29 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of C57 Ifield Road, Charlwood that extends from the southern property boundary of “Oak Gates”, northwards for a distance of 100m. This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to carry out fibre cabling for a customer connection and/ or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, businesses, emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of site operatives. Alternative route: – Ifield Road, The Street, Lowfield Heath Road, Bonnetts Lane, Charlwood Road and Ifield Road.

How Lane (D1080) Chipstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 29 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of How Lane (D1080) Chipstead as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Spindles to its junction with the access to the property known as “Summerville”. Alternative Route: How Lane, Hollymead Road, Coulsdon Road, and How Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate mains water connection for, or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 10 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the signed diversion route. No sole access is affected by this closure.

Station Avenue (B2030) Caterham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 29 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the westbound carriageway of Station Avenue (B2030) Caterham as extends from its junction with its roundabout with (B2030) Godstone Road and for a distance of 46 metres along Station Avenue. Alternative Route: (B2030) Church Hill, (B2030) Church Road, Whyteleafe Road, Burntwood Lane, (A22) Wapes Lodge Roundabout, and (B2208) Croydon Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate mains water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no other vehicular access through the closure, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

Abinger Lane (C43) Abinger
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order No. 3 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Abinger Lane (C43) Abinger as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between the properties known as “Furzen Wood” and “Furzen Lodge” to its junction with Public Footpath No. 18, Abinger; and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Abinger Lane (C43) Abinger Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” in so far as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) above. Alternative Route – Abinger Lane; Leith Hill Road; Etherley Hill; Ockley Road; Holmbury Lane; Miles Hill; Horsham Road; Felday Road; A25 Guildford Road; Raikes Lane; and Abinger Lane or this same route in reverse. This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 24 August 2026 is required to facilitate tree surgery works and/or overhead cabling works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 3 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure and suspension will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents with then closure area, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via marshals on site. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Church Road (D341) Horley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Church Road (D341) Horley as extends from its junction with (A23) Brighton Road to its junction with (X9373) Astor Gardens. Alternative Routes – (1) Brighton Road; Massetts Road; and (2) Church Road and Brighton Road; Victoria Road; and Church Road. This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 25 August 2026 is required to facilitate mains electrical asset works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of UK Power Networks within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 4 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents with then closure area, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via operatives on site. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Henfold Lane (D301) Beare Green
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Henfold Lane (D301) Beare Green as extends from its junction with Ewood Lane (X67920) to the access for “Mulberry House”.

Alternative route – Henfold Lane, Parkgate Road, Broad Lane, Shellwood Road, Leigh Road, Brockhamhurst Road, Red Lane and Blackbrook Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable SES Water to facilitate a new connection and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 August 2026 for 5 days between the hours of 8.00am and 4.30pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

D1421 Church Lane, Chaldon
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D1421 Church Lane, Chaldon that extends from its junction with B2031 Rook Lane, to the southern side of its junction with D1421 Doctors Lane. This Traffic Order is required to enable Southern Gas Networks to carry out gas mains disconnections and/or maintenance works outside “Garden Cottage”. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9am and 4pm, within 5 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each, day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times by means of road plates. Alternative route: – Rook Lane and Doctors Lane.

D1270 Earlsbrook Road, Redhill
Temporary Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Unloading Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting, loading, and unloading at any time, by vehicles on both sides of the carriageway in that length of D1270 Earlsbrook Road, Redhill that extends from its junction with C222 Hooley Lane, to its junction with D1270 St Johns Road. This Temporary Order is required by Southern Gas Networks to carry out gas mains reinforcement and/or replacement and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm within 2 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 August 2026. This temporary restriction which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs. Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).

C69 School Hill, Merstham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of C69 School Hill, Merstham that is crossed by the Redhill to Merstham railway route at the “Bletchingley Road Railway Bridge” and for a distance of 20m either side. This Traffic Order is required to enable Amey Consulting South East Anglia/Centurion and/or Network Rail to carry out an examination and/or maintenance works to the railway bridge. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 10pm and 6am within 1 night of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route: – School Hill, Nutfield Lane, Battlebridge Lane, New Battlebridge Lane, London Road South and School Hill.

D2842 Leslie Road, Pixham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D2842 Leslie Road, Pixham that extends from the south-western property boundary of “No.17 Leslie Road”, to the south-western property boundary of “No.41 Leslie Road”. This Traffic Order is required to enable McAllister and/or Thames Water to carry out patching and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 2 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. There is no applicable alternative route however access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of a marshal.

Langshott (D336) Horley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Langshott (D336) Horley which extends from its junction with the un-named access road leading to “Timberlane” northwards to the property boundary line between “Timberlane” and “Woodbrook House”. This Order is required to enable Thames to carry out valve replacement works and/ or water works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day between 9am and 9pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 18 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary restrictions will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Due to the nature of the works it will not be possible to maintain access for emergency service vehicles through the closure, however access will be maintained up to the closure. Access to premises within the affected length of road will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. There is no diversion route possible for this road closure.

Ockley Road (B2127) Forest Green/Ewhurst
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ockley Road (B2127) Forest Green/Ewhurst which extends from its junction with Lyefield Lane to its junction with The Street and any parts thereof. This Order is required to enable UKPN to carry out electrical works and/or tree removal works, which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days between 8am and 6am, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 17 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary restrictions, which will be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Alternative Route – B2127 The Street, B2127 Cranleigh Road, B2127 Brookhurst Road, B2127 Ewhurst Road, B2128 Horsham Road, B2128 Church Street, A281 Guildford Road, A29 Bagnor Road, A29 Stane Street, B2126 Forest Green Road, B2126 Ockley Road and vice versa.
