B6353 MAIN STREET LOWICK
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the B6353 Main Street from its junction with U1043 Northfield Lane junction to Barmoor Farn junction in an easterly direction for a length of 850 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 24th August 2026 until the 24th February 2027.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on weekdays from the 24th August 2026 until the 1st September 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 during this period; however, the Order will remain in place until 24th February 2027.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being B6353, B6525, A1, and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to plane out and resurface the main carriageway through the village. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order. DATED this 30th day of July 2026.

BERWICK FOOD AND BEER FESTIVAL 2026
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 16A

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council (“the Council”), in exercise of its powers as the local traffic authority under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and all other enabling powers, has on the 22nd July 2026 made the Northumberland County Council Berwick Food and Beer Festival 2026 Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (“the TTRO”).

The Council has made the TTRO for the purposes of facilitating the holding of Berwick Food and Beer Festival 2026 (“the Event”) by restricting traffic on the U107 Parade from its junction with Church Street heading in a easterly direction for 150 metres and the U107 Golf Course Road from its point with Parade heading in a northerly direction for a length of 35 metres (“the Road”).

The TTRO shall come into force at 08:00 hours on 14 August 2026 and will remain in force until 20:00 hours on 16 August 2026, subject to the provisions of section 16B of the Act.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being the A1167, the U103, the U107 and vice versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

All restrictions on the Road will be sign-posted and staffed and will remain in force only for as long as is necessary.

Nothing in the TTRO shall apply to:

a. Any activities taking place on the Road related to the organisation and holding of the Event;

b. Anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police officer or a Duly Authorised Officer of the Council.

c. Any vehicle being used by, or for the purposes of, the emergency services;

d. Any vehicle being used by or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker (e.g. the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which requires vehicles to be brought onto the Road); or

e. Pedestrian access to any premises adjoining the Road.

CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2026 VARIATION
NO. 02 ORDER 2026 (TRO_102_04)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make the above-named Amendment Order under sections 32 and 35 and Part III and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act of 1984”), and Part 6 of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers and after consulting with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act of 1984. The effect of the Variation Order, if made, will be to include ‘virtual’ and ‘physical’ permits into the Northumberland County Council (Off Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2026 following the introduction of a new digitised permit system by Northumberland County Council.
