NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:
• a road closure and suspension of parking to vehicles in that length of A4 Upper Bristol Road, Lower Weston, Bath from its junction with Park Lane extending east for approximately 175 metres. USRN: 47900002.
• a road closure and suspension of parking to vehicles in that length of Midland Road, Westmoreland, Bath from its junction with A4 Upper Bristol Road extending south for approximately 80 metres. USRN: 47913514.
• a suspension of the one-way restriction on Midland Road, Westmoreland, Bath from a point outside the Police/Kia Garage rear car park extending north to its junction with Stothert Avenue.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road for highway resurfacing and associated works in relation to Midland Road junction improvement scheme by Bath and North East Somerset Council from the 20th August 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months.
The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for THREE NIGHTS between 20:00 - 06:00hrs only.
