(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Wallace Lane, East Harptree from its junction with Smitham’s Hill extending east to a point outside Wallace Cottage. USRN: 47902577.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach to carry out pole testing and tree cutting works on the 6th August 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. 

The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 09:30 - 15:30hrs.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Lower Road, Hinton Blewett from a point outside 18 Lower Road extending north east to a point outside The Old Rectory. This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Contractors to replace a damaged telecom chamber in the carriageway from the 15th August 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 08:00 - 16:00hrs.
