(& Consolidation) Order 202*
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to introduce a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce:-
(i) a 20mph speed limit on the length of the A29 through Coldwaltham village and on the roads in Coldwaltham village; and
(ii) a 30mph speed limit on the length of the A29 between Bury Gate and Watersfield; and
(iii) a 40mph speed limit on the length of the A29 between Coldwaltham and Pulborough.
Full details of the proposals in this Notice can be viewed on our website www.westsussex.gov.uk/tro. The website includes a response form for comments or objections.
Paper copies of documents will not be available to view in council offices or libraries. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.
Any objections or comments about the proposal must be received by 20 August 2026. These may be sent via the response form on the website, in writing to: TRO Team, WSCC, The Grange, Tower Street, Chichester, PO19 1RH; or by email to: tro.consultation@westsussex.gov.uk. All correspondence should be addressed to the undersigned, quoting the reference TRO/HOR8015/RC. Only correspondence including a full name and address will be considered.
(Parham: Public Footpath No. 2430)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from proceeding along a length of Public Footpath No 2430 from its junction with the A283 Mare Hill Road (506173.172, 118423.304) southwards to its junction with Church Lane (506062.047, 116751.138), a distance of 18450m.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to a broken bridge.
Unfortunately there are no alternative routes available using the Public Rights of Way network.
The Order will come into effect on 5 August 2026 and will last for 6 months.
